#monstruatv is a research project that aims to deconstruct the myths of monsters inherited from the ancestral patriarchal culture that survive in today’s society by holding a heterocentric and pejorative discourse that is based on their repetition in the dominant culture and the media, through the television series. This research involves the re-visitation of the monstrua category through a queer and feminist methodology. And we observe that, currently, there is a turning point where they are beginning to create new queer myths or imaginary, questioning the conventional research methods and that challenge heterosexual norms in TV series like American Gods by Neil Gaiman in contrast to the series Supernatural of The CW Network. This research involves the re-visitation of the monstrua category through a queer and feminist methodology.
