Resumen de Lo sagrado y lo profano en el arte africano: La vida es muerte y la muerte es vida

El objetivo que persigue el presente artículo es analizar cómo la idea de la muerte y los rituales funerarios es diferente entre el mundo occidental y el continente africano. En África el arraigo se da desde los orígenes de su historia, donde la unión entre lo sagrado y lo profano es indivisible pues los difuntos participan en lo cotidiano. Para ello se estudiará la pervivencia de estas tradiciones desde el siglo X a.C. hasta la actualidad a través de diversas culturas, como los Nok, Dogón, Bura, Jukun, Komaland, Reino de Oku, Moba y Dakakari.

The purpose of this article is to analyze how the idea of death and funeral rituals is different between the western world and the African continent. In Africa, roots take place from the origins of its history, where the union between the sacred and the profane is indivisible since the deceased participate in daily life.
For this, the survival of these traditions will be studied from the 10th century BC to the present day through various cultures such us Nok, Dogon, Bura, Jukun, Komaland, Kingdom of Oku, Moba and Dakakari.
