  Este artículo reflexiona en torno al Küme Mongen, noción propia de la sabiduría ancestral del pueblo Mapuche, que alude a las alternativas de vida y convivencia respecto al concepto de desarrollo. Desde un enfoque histórico-crítico nos acercaremos a la evolución del concepto de desarrollo y su vinculación al küme mongen, así como la repercusión que puede tener la valoración de este paradigma para una buena convivencia con todo lo viviente. Como resultado tenemos por un lado que pese al carácter contextual y dinámico de la categoría de desarrollo ésta refuerza las dimensiones propias del Capital y no es sino otra forma de colonización económica de los pueblos indígenas. Por otro lado, el küme mongen implica resistir a la hegemonía del desarrollo desde la hegemonía del Capital, a través de las dimensiones territoriales materiales e inmateriales que implicaría valorar y actualizar prácticas socioculturales de habitar y convivir en el cosmos.

  Abstract This article reflects on the Küme Mongen, a notion intrinsic to the ancestral wisdom of the Mapuche people,  which alludes to the alternatives of life and coexistence in relation to the concept of development. From a historical-critical approach we approach the evolution of the concept of development and its link to the küme mongen, as well as the repercussion that the valuation of this paradigm can have for a good coexistence with all living things. As a result, on the one hand, despite the contextual and dynamic character of the category of development, it reinforces the dimensions of capital and representing another form of economic colonization of indigenous peoples. On the other hand, the küme mongen implies resisting the hegemony of development from the hegemony of Capital, through the material and immaterial territorial dimensions that would imply valuing and updating socio-cultural practices of inhabiting and coexisting in the cosmos.
