Resumen de Patologías sociales y paradojas en las sociedades del Sur: una lectura desde la Teoría Crítica.

En este trabajo se analiza la conflictividad con que se viven las relaciones interétnicas e intersocietales en las denominadas Sociedades del Sur teniendo como referencia el caso del territorio ancestral mapuche. Una lectura histórica y actual de las mismas nos permitirá dar cuenta de las lógicas que subyacen a los sufrimientos sociales que se vivencian en el territorio, del mismo modo que de las comprensibles luchas por el reconocimiento y la redistribución puestas en marcha para revertir tal situación. La filosofía social crítica, representada fundamentalmente por Axel Honneth y Nancy Fraser en diálogo con antecedentes empírico sociales posibilitará observar las potencialidades y limitaciones de tales luchas, llegando a proponer como conclusión la siguiente hipótesis: las luchas de los grupos y movimientos menospreciados y subalternizados no logran trascender los límites de aquello que les ha llevado a la deshumanizante situación que viven, aunque estas luchas son de todo inevitables y necesarias.

This paper analyzes the conflictive nature of interethnic and intersocietal relations in the so-called Southern Societies, taking as a reference the case of the Mapuche ancestral territory. A historical and current reading of them will allow us to account for the logics underlying the social suffering experienced in the territory, as well as the understandable struggles for recognition and redistribution launched to reverse this situation. Critical social philosophy, fundamentally represented by Axel Honneth and Nancy Fraser in dialogue with social empirical background, will make it possible to observe the potentialities and limitations of such struggles, reaching the following hypothesis as a conclusion: the struggles of underestimated and subalternized groups and movements are unable to transcend the limits of what has led them to the dehumanizing situation in which they live, although these struggles are inevitable and necessary.
