Resumen de Brechas digitales y territorio: los entornos tecnológicos-digitales en las viviendas mexicanas

Se analiza la presencia de las TICs en las viviendas mexicanas, con el objetivo de mostrar la relación de las brechas con la dinámica territorial. Para ello se utilizan los datos del censo poblacional de México y se propone la integración de los términos semirrural y semiurbano para reconocer los matices en aquellas localidades que están entre las categorías rural y urbano.
La relevancia de este trabajo descansa en la construcción de un panorama más detallado de la brecha de acceso a partir de la vivienda como unidad de referencia y su distribución espacial en las localidades. Entre los resultados destaca que el celular se ha convertido en el segundo dispositivo con mayor presencia en las localidades mexicanas. Además, se identifican los estados donde se concentran las viviendas que no poseen TICs, mostrando que aún hoy existen personas que sufren una exclusión material y digital.
Finalmente, este trabajo abona al análisis de las brechas digitales en México y evidencia los resultados de la incorporación progresiva de las zonas rurales a la sociedad de la información y el conocimiento en el siglo XXI.

The presence of ICTs in Mexican homes is analyzed, with the aim of showing the relationship between the gaps and the territorial dynamics. For this, data from the Mexican population census are used and the integration of the semi-rural and semi-urban terms is proposed to recognize the nuances in those localities that are between the rural and urban categories.
The relevance of this work lies in the construction of a more detailed overview of the access gap based on housing as a reference unit and its spatial distribution in the localities. Among the results, it stands out that the cell phone has become the second device with the greatest presence in Mexican towns.
In addition, the states where the dwellings that do not have ICTs are concentrated are identified, showing that even today there are people who suffer material and digital exclusion.
Finally, this work contributes to the analysis of digital gaps in Mexico and evidences the results of the progressive incorporation of rural areas into the information and knowledge society in the 21st century.
