Resumen de Una lucha diaria: análisis de la participación de las jóvenes universitarias en el Día de la Mujer

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo estudiar el activismo que practican las jóvenes universitarias durante el 8M y descubrir si esta nueva ola sigue la estela offline de las generaciones anteriores o si ha abierto el abanico de posibilidades que brindan las nuevas tecnologías. La importancia de definir cómo afecta Internet a los movimientos sociales es vital para los repertorios de acción actuales. Esta investigación trata además de aportar nuevos datos empíricos al debate sobre el denominado slacktivismo o activismo de sofá, para lo que realiza un método mixto de encuesta y grupos de discusión. Así, se concluye que las estudiantes realizan un repertorio de acción híbrido en torno al feminismo durante todo el año, además de que aprueban las prácticas slacktivistas para la inclusión de más personas en el movimiento

The aim of this paper is to study the activism carried out by young women on 8 March and to discover whether this new wave is following in the offline participation of previous generations or whether it has opened up the range of possibilities offered by new technologies. The importance of defining how the Internet affects social movements is vital for current repertoires of action. This research also attempts to contribute with new empirical data to the debate on so-called slacktivism or couch activism, using a mixed method of survey and focus groups. Thus, it is concluded that the students carry out a hybrid action repertoire around feminism throughout the year, in addition to approving slacktivist practices for the inclusion of more people in the movement.
