    En el presente artículo se analizará la película Promising Young Woman (Emerald Fennell, 2020) desde la propuesta de la autora Katherine Angel sobre el consentimiento y el deseo femenino expuesta en su obra El buen sexo mañana. Mujer y deseo en la era del consentimiento (2021), donde dicha autora pone en duda el potencial de la cultura del consentimiento como fuente de satisfacción sexual, liberación y empoderamiento de las mujeres. Así pues, se analizarán escenas clave de la película que muestran las principales problemáticas actuales sobre la cultura del consentimiento relativas al deseo y la sexualidad de las mujeres. Al mismo tiempo, se establecerá un diálogo entre dicho filme y otros del género rape and revenge, tratando de encontrar puntos de confluencia

    In this article, the film Promising Young Woman (Emerald Fennell, 2020) will be analyzed from the Katherine Angel’s proposal about sexual consent exposed in her work El buen sexo mañana. Mujer y deseo en la era del consentimiento (2021), where this author questions the potential of the consent culture as a source of sexual satisfaction, liberation and empowerment of women. Thus, we analyse key scenes from the film that show the main current problems about the culture of consent related to desire and sexuality of women. At the same time, a dialogue will be established between this film and others belonging to the rape and revengegenre, trying to find their confluences.
