  • This paper is a case study about Donald J. Trump’s populist discourse on Twitter during the last three months of electoral campaign and the first seven months of his presidency. Specifically, the analysis aims to highlight how Donald J. Trump represented immigrants and refugees, the United States and U.S. foreign relationships with Europe and Mexico. Although the analysis focuses mainly on Twitter, ten traditional speeches were analysed as well in order to investigate the evolution of populist discourse.
