    El presente trabajo centra su interés en analizar y reflexionar sobre la vinculación entre la cosmovisión indígena, la chacra, y la determinación social de la salud. Debido a la importancia de los saberes de la medicina tradicional, la epidemiología crítica muestra la importancia de incorporar estos saberes ancestrales a la medicina convencional. El estudio se basó en los aportes teóricos y metodológicos de la investigación, reflexión, y acción participativa con la comunidad, utilizando como técnicas la observación de casos, el diario de campo, grabaciones, entrevistas, y otros; Concluye que el estudio de la cruz cuadrada y de sus cuadrantes determina la comprensión de la integridad de saberes armónicamente vinculados e interdependientes, permitiendo entender el pensamiento chacracéntrico cañari, erigido y sostenido como cosmovisión.

    The present work focuses its interest in analyzing and reflecting on the link between the indigenous world view, the farm, and the social determination of health. Due to the importance of the knowledge of traditional medicine, critical epidemiology shows the importance of incorporating this ancestral knowledge into conventional medicine. The study was based on the theoretical and methodological contributions of research, reflection, and participatory action with the community, using as techniques the observation of cases, the field diary, recordings, interviews, and others; He concludes that the study of the square cross and its quadrants determines the understanding of the integrity of harmonically linked and interdependent knowledge, allowing us to understand the chacaric thinking cañari, erected and sustained as a worldview.
