Resumen de Creencias, representaciones y saberes de los estudiantes universitarios benineses de ELE sobre la inteligencia artificial

  Este trabajo explora el pensamiento, los saberes y las creencias de 160 estudiantes benineses de Grado sobre el posible uso de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) en la enseñanza-aprendizaje del ELE. Se realizó un estudio exploratorio de corte mixto basado en análisis cuantitativos y cualitativos. Los datos se recogieron en diciembre de 2019 a través de un cuestionario que luego complementamos con una serie de entrevistas individuales semiestructuradas mantenidas con una veintena de los mismos informantes. Tras analizar los resultados se observan los distintos tipos de creencias de los participantes. La mayoría de estos hace una valoración positiva de dicha tecnología y su uso en el aula de castellano. No obstante, hay quienes creen que el profesor humano es insuperable e insustituible en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de lenguas extranjeras y la inmensa mayoría exalta una tecnología al servicio del ser humano, que ayude a mejorar su calidad de vida.

  This study explores 160 Beninese undergraduate students’ beliefs, representations, and knowledge about the possible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the teaching and learning of Spanish as a foreign language, employing an exploratory mixedmethods approach based on quantitative and qualitative analyzes. The data was collected in December 2019 through a questionnaire that we then complemented with a series of semi-structured individual interviews held with a score of the same participants. After analyzing the results, the different types of beliefs of the participants are observed. Most of them provide positive comments about the technology mentioned above and its use in the Spanish classroom. However, some believe that the human teacher is insurmountable and irreplaceable in the teaching and learning process of foreign languages and the vast majority of them extol a technology at the service of human beings, which helps to improve their quality of life.
