Composição verbo + substantivo em português: comparação com o espanhol

    O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar os compostos verbo + substantivo (p. ex. quebra-nozes) do português e do espanhol, com base nas equivalências de um dicionário bilingue. Este tipo de composição é frequente e produtivo nas duas línguas. O português e o espanhol têm um léxico muito semelhante, por isso torna-se interessante ver se as palavras compostas são também convergentes. No trabalho mostrar-se-á quais dos elementos compostos do português têm um equivalente espanhol coincidente e qual é o significado e outras características destes elementos compostos. O resultado é que mais de metade das palavras compostas portuguesas são iguais ou têm elementos formativos semanticamente muito semelhantes em espanhol. Completamos o trabalho com a comparação de uma série de neologismos, que não aparecem no dicionário analisado.

    The aim of this paper is to analyse the verb + noun compounds (e.g. quebra-nozes) in Portuguese and Spanish, on the basis of a bilingual dictionary. This type of composition is frequent and productive in both languages. Portuguese and Spanish have a very similar vocabulary, so it's interesting to see if compound words are also convergent. It will be shown which Portuguese compounds have a concordant Spanish equivalent and which is the meaning and other characteristics of these compounds. The result is that more than half of the Portuguese compounds are the same or have very similar formative elements from a semantic point of view in Spanish. We complete the paper with the comparison of some neologisms that don't appear in the dictionary we have analised.
