    La princesa Olga de Kiev fue una figura clave en la construcción de la Rus’ de Kiev en el siglo X. El personaje histórico se esconde tras la escasez de datos y de la imagen icónica y legendaria que se tiene de la princesa Olga. Son dos los hechos más trascendentales de su vida: la venganza por la muerte de su esposo y su conversión al cristianismo. Tal conversión y su esfuerzo misionero le valdrían la santificación y el epíteto de isápostolos. En este trabajo analizaremos la historicidad del episodio de la venganza.

    Princess Olga of Kiev was a key figure in the construction of the Rus’ of Kiev in the 10th century. Her historical person is hidden behind the scarcity of data and the iconic and legendary image that we have of Princess Olga. The most momentous events of her life are two: revenge for the death of her husband and conversion to Christianity. Her conversion and her missionary effort would earn her sanctification and the epithet of Isapostolos. In this work we will analyze the historicity of the revenge episode.
