    Este texto recoge el concepto de Espíritu Científico que fue formulado por Gastón Bachelard en el siglo XX para proponer la necesidad de la ciencia en el estudio sobre la naturaleza y las sociedades. Se aborda una importante distinción entre el método duro de las ciencias naturales con respecto a la investigación en las ciencias sociales, pero se mantiene el objetivo de superar muchos obstáculos epistemológicos para poder avanzar hacia nuevos conocimientos. En ningún área de la naturaleza y la sociedad existen verdades absolutas e inmutables porque el universo es un constante devenir, pero especialmente, cuando aplicamos el espíritu científico a la sociedad y a los comportamientos sociales, necesitamos formular una metodología seria que implique trabajo empírico de campo sobre un objeto específico de estudio, un período prolongado de reflexión para la sistematización de los datos y la interpretación de ellos; con ello, es posible llegar a certidumbres razonadas que puedan explicar mejor el funcionamiento de la realidad como también para proyectar las acciones conducentes a un mejor desarrollo de la humanidad en una continua discusión y debate con otros investigadores.     This text takes the concept of Scientific Spirit that was formulated by Gaston Bachelard in the 20th century to propose the need of science in the study of nature and societies. It is addressed an important distinction between the hard method of the natural sciences and the research in social sciences, looking for a goal of overcoming, in both areas, many epistemological obstacles in order to advance towards new knowledge. In the research on nature and society there are no absolute and immutable truths because the universe is a constant becoming, but especially, when we apply the scientific spirit to society and social behaviors, we need to formulate a serious methodology that involves empirical field work on a specific object of study, a prolonged period of reflection for the systematization of the data and their interpretation. Then, it is possible to reach reasoned certainties that explain better the functioning of reality as well as to project actions leading to a better development of humanity in constant discussion and debate with other researchers. The scientific spirit is an innovative research culture in order to produce new knowledge.
