    En este artículo se pretende abordar la asociación naturaleza-cuerpo en la poética de la autora chilena Gabriela Mistral (1889-1957) y de la inglesa Kathleen Raine (1908-2003). Ambas poetas representan el espacio natural en relación íntima con lo corporal: el sujeto poético se abre y se derrama en la naturaleza, lo cual propicia que su cuerpo sufra una suerte de metamorfosis, un cambio esencial, que lo modela y es reflejo de sus emociones y sentimientos más profundos. Hablamos, pues, de una naturaleza que se entiende a través del cuerpo y, a su vez, un cuerpo que se entiende a través del espacio natural en el que se inscribe. A través de una selección de poemas, se explorará este vínculo afectivo con lo natural y la forma en la que las dos poetas comprenden la tierra y el cuerpo como un ente simbiótico.

    This paper aims to address the nature-body associations in the poetic work of Chilean author Gabriela Mistral (1889-1957) and English Kathleen Raine (1908-2003). Both poets represent the natural space in an intimate relation with the body: the poetic voice of the “I” opens and pours itself into nature forcing the body to undergo a metamorphosis, an essential change, which shapes and reflects the “I’s” deeper emotions and feelings. We speak, therefore, of a kind of nature that is understood through the body and, likewise, a body that is understood through the natural surroundings in which it is inscribed. Through a handful of selected poems, we will inquire about this affective connection with nature and the way both poets comprehend Earth and the Body as a symbiotic entity.
