Resumen de Bosquejo sobre la anhelada igualdad de géneros en América Latina y el Caribe

  En este estudio bibliográfico se desea poner en relevancia, una vez más, la actual situación de la mujer en el contexto latinoamericano y caribeño, destacando la ausencia de leyes y mecanismos que realmente garanticen un trato justo y equitativo de la mujer, y que garanticen tanto sus derechos como sus oportunidades en los ámbitos de salud, académicos o laborales. Se han considerado aspectos que suelen ser pasados por alto, como el lenguaje o discurso, nuevos términos incorporado al léxico de la igualdad, como micromachismos, y los elementos clásicos en este tipo de debate, patriarcado y heteronormatividad, así como algunos datos estadísticos oportunos en este caso. Todos ellos incidentes en la realidad, compleja y a veces obviada por los estados y entes gubernamentales, que afecta a más de la mitad de la población que habita en esta vasta y extensa región. Se sugieren una serie de acciones encaminadas a transitar del panorama actual a una sociedad de avanzada, progresista, donde la desigualdad y la violencia contra la mujer sea un caso excepcional y no la noticia, sin solución, del día a día.

  In this bibliographical study, we wish to highlight, once again, the current situation of women in the Latin American and Caribbean context, highlighting the absence of laws and mechanisms that really guarantee fair and equitable treatment of women, and that guarantee both their rights as well as their opportunities in the fields of health, academics or work. Aspects that are often overlooked have been considered, such as language or discourse, new terms incorporated into the lexicon of equality, such as “micromachismo” (sexism), and the classic elements in this type of debate, patriarchy and heteronormativity, as well as some timely statistical data on this case. All of them incidents in reality, complex and sometimes overlooked by states and government entities, which affects more than half of the population that lives in this vast and extensive region. A series of actions are suggested aimed at moving from the current panorama to an advanced, progressive society, where inequality and violence against womenis an exceptional case and not the news, without a solution, from day to day
