Music is a nice way to get to know and enjoy literature. For music lovers, the German Lieder are an important vehicle to approach german poetry. Sometimes the composer of Lieder achieved a very true and exact translation of the poem's words and meaning into music. But Lieder are personal interpretations, and some composers added individual subjective moments or took away more or leas important parts of the literary work.
