    Aquest text reprodueix, amb algunes modificacions bastant significatives, la comunicació que vam llegir en els Col·loquis de Vic que tingueren lloc els dies 6-7 d’octubre de 2011, i que van ser dedicats al tema de La Imatge. En aquest text tractem la noció d’imatge en la cultura grega, des dels seus orígens fins a Plató i Plotí. Abans que res es passa revista a l’estat de la qüestió sobre els posicionaments actuals més rellevants arran d’aquesta problemàtica. Hi exposem la problemàtica semàntica i filosòfica sobre la noció d’imatge-representació expressada a través dels mots eidôlon i eikôn en diàleg, sobretot, amb els treballs de Jean-Luc Marion, Jean-Pierre Vernant, Suzanne Saïd i Anca Vasiliu. Igualment es posa èmfasi en l’itinerari de la relació entre la imatge (mythos) i el concepte (logos) mostrant com n’és de necessària la seva complementarietat (Lluís Duch).

    The following text is a revised version of a paper on the subject of image in Greek culture originally delivered at the Col·loquis de Vic in October of 2011. The text discusses the concept of image from its origins to Plato and Plotinus and reviews the state of the question regarding the most salient current positions on this problem. It also describes the semantic and philosophical issues of the notion of image-representation expressed in the words eidôlon and eikôn in dialogue, especially as these appear in the works of Jean-Luc Marion, Suzanne Saïd, Anca Vasiliu and Jean-Pierre Vernant. Finally, it highlights the relationship between the path of the image (mythos) and concept (logos), emphasizing their mutually complementary nature (Lluís Duch).
