    Ignacio Padilla en su cuento “Tres arañas y una cuarta improbable” de su último volumen publicado en vida, Las fauces del abismo, recoge la tradición de ese insecto asociado comúnmente al horror.

    Desde la teoría de Paul Ricoeur sobre los tipos de memoria desarrollados en La memoria, la historia, el olvido, revisaremos el cuento de Padilla que reconfigura el olvido de las arañas del microrrelato “Las arañas sin memoria” de Alejandro Jodorowski, con la mezcla de recuerdos y la memoria infinita.

    Mostraremos que su discurso tiene como contexto una amalgama de las culturas antiguas de Oriente, en el cual crea un nuevo mito que enfrenta al hombre con la divinidad en las orillas del infierno o del abismo

    In the Ignacio Padilla’s short-story, “Tres arañas y una cuarta improbable”, from his last published volume while he was alive, Las fauces del abismo, gathers the tradition of that insect associated with horror. From Paul Ricoeur’s theory on the types of memory developed in Memory, History, Oblivion, we will review the Padilla’s tale which reconfigures the oblivion of the spiders from the micro-story “Las arañas sin memoria” by Alejandro Jodorowski, with the mixture of memories and infinite memory. We are trying to demostrate that his discourse has as a context an amalgamation of the ancient cultures of the East, in which the author has created a new myth that confronts man with divinity, on the shores of hell or the abyss.
