  Este curso 2021-2022 se celebra el 35.º aniversario de la huelga de estudiantes del curso 1986-1987, la cual constituye el mayor conflicto estudiantil de la historia de España. Supuso el inicio de un trienio de movilizaciones contra las políticas del gobierno del PSOE, las cuales no satisfacían las expectativas de reforma de los trabajadores. Estas movilizaciones fueron in crescendo con la huelga de profesores del curso 1987-1988 y culminaron con la histórica huelga general del 14 de diciembre de 1988. La huelga estudiantil de 1986-1987 destacó por su masiva participación y por los importantes efectos que logró en la política educativa, especialmente en la extensión de la enseñanza secundaria. La organización fundamental de estas protestas fue el Sindicato de Estudiantes. Charlamos aquí sobre estos hechos y sobre la trayectoria posterior del Sindicato de Estudiantes con Juan Ignacio Ramos, su secretario general de entonces, y con Bárbara Areal, militante en aquella huelga y posteriormente secretaria general.

  This 2021-2022 academic year marks the 35th anniversary of the stu-dent strike of the 1986-1987 academic year, which constitutes the largest student conflict in the history of Spain. It marked the beginning of a three-year period of protests against the policies of the PSOE government, which had failed to satisfy the workers’ expectations of reform. These protests went in crescendo with the teachers’ strike of the 1987-1988 academic year, culminating in the historic general strike of December 14, 1988. The student strike of 1986-1987 stood out for its massive participation and for the important ef-fects it achieved in educational policy, especially in the extension of second-ary education. The fundamental organization of these protests was the re-sponsibility of the Student Union. We chat here about these events and about the subsequent trajectory of the Student Union with Juan Ignacio Ramos, its general secretary at the time, and with Bárbara Areal, a militant in that strike who later became general secretary.
