    The objective of this reflection is to deal with the place that the approaches on animals as well as on the relations between humans and animals have occupied in the contemporary anthropology, from the parameters that define the categories "likeness" and "difference" in relation to the associated phenomena health and disease, which involve transmission, contagion and epidemics in order to explore the possibilities of establishing inter-specific social relations. The aim of this study is to analyze the particular case of popular actions in the face of the outbreak of yellow fever in Brazil in 2018, which, by associating the disease contagion with the species of tropical monkeys, among them the monkey-natives, promoted violent attacks and deaths of the animalswith which it was supposed that these humans had previously established peaceful and protectionist relations based on adherence to general principles of environmental protection. This analysis intends to explore the deconstruction of the unitary and rational subject, the project of western modern thought, seeking other paths that suggest transversal reflections, from the critique of the processes of subordination between prefixed categories of thought and in order to explore the mechanisms of emergence andtheoretical treatment of the historical-social production of human and animal conceptions.

    O objetivo dessa reflexão é tratar do lugar que as abordagens sobre animais, bem como sobre as relações entre humanos e animais, têm ocupado na antropologia contemporânea, a partir dos parâmetros que regem as categorias “semelhança” e “diferença” em relação aos fenômenos associados à saúde e à doença que envolvem transmissão, contágio e epidemias a fim de explorar as possibilidades do estabelecimento de relações sociais interespecíficas. Para isso, pretende-se analisar o caso particular das ações populares frente ao surto de febre amarela no Brasil em 2018, que, ao associarem o contágio pela doença às espécies de macacos-tropicais, entre elas os macacos-prego, promoveram ataques violentos e mortes dos animais com os quais, supunha-se, esses humanos haviam estabelecido relações pacíficas e protecionistas, a partir da adesão a princípios gerais de proteção ambiental. Tal análise pretende explorar a desconstrução do sujeito unitário e racional, projeto do pensamento moderno ocidental, buscando outros caminhos, que sugerem reflexões transversais, a partir da crítica aos processos de subordinação entre categorias de pensamento pré-fixadas e a fim de explorar os mecanismos de emergência e tratamento teórico da produção histórico-social das concepções de humano e de animal.
