    En este artículo se analiza críticamente el sistema de becas de la Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), enmarcado dentro del proceso de regionalización de la educación superior pública y las diferentes acciones colectivas desarrolladas por estudian-tes en la Sede Occidente. Lo anterior tiene como objetivo generar reflexiones sobre cómo se concibe y mide la pobreza, junto con el proceso de centralización en la toma de decisiones a lo interno de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Además, se le brinda seguimiento a uno de los acuerdos votados en el I Congreso de Regionalización Universitaria, realizado en el año 1993 en la UCR. En lo que respecta la metodología, se desarrolló una indagación bibliográfica. Por último, se comparten las conclusiones obtenidas a partir del abordaje encauzado.

    This article analyzes the scholarship system of the University of Costa Rica (UCR), framed within the process of regionalization of public higher education, and the different collective actions carried out by students from the UCR campus on San Ramón, Alajuela. The latter aims to generate reflections on how poverty is conceived and measured, along with the process of centralization in decision-making within the University of Costa Rica. In addition, it follows up on one of the agreements voted at the 1st University Regionalization Congress, held in 1993 at the UCR. Regarding the methodology, a bibliographic inquiry was developed. Finally, the conclusions obtained from the channeled approach are mentioned.
