Resumen de Yakka: un castillo de la kūra de Murcia

El presente artículo aborda una síntesis sobre el devenir histórico de un castillo construido a fines del siglo XI entre los límites territoriales de la taifa de Denia y la taifa de Murcia. Su posterior desarrollo y ordenación territorial en época del gobierno de al-Andalus por los almohades (ss. XII/XIII), momento este en el que se producirá un intenso proceso de islamización en amplios territorios de Šarq al-Andalus, donde la gestión del agua y de los espacios de irrigación o espacios agrarios, serán los que vertebren el territorio y contribuyan a la defensa del mismo frente a la presión de los reinos feudales del norte (Castilla y Aragón), y finalmente, la transición del Castillo de Yecla a un modelo feudal a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XIII, con su incorporación al Señorío del infante don Manuel.

This current article addresses a synthesis of the historical evolution of a castle constructed at the end of XI century between the territorial boundaries of the Taifa of Denia and the Taifa of Murcia. Its subsequent expansion and territorial organization within the period of the government of Al-Andalus by the Almohads (centuries XII/XIII) Period known by the intense process of Islamization of the vast territories of Sarq al-Andalus, where the water management, the irrigation and the agricultural areas will not only be the main support of the territory, but will also contribute to the defence of it, against the pressure of the northern feudal kingdoms (Castile and Aragon). The transition of the castle of Yecla to a feudal model from the second part of the XIII century with its incorporation to the manor of the Infante Don Juan Manuel.
