Resumen de Figuras retóricas en la Rhetorica ad Herennium y en el Natyasastra: Figuras de dicción y tropos (II)

El artículo constituye la continuación de “Figuras retóricas en la Rhetorica ad Herennium y en el Natyasastra: Figuras de pensamiento”. Desarrolla una comparación en torno a los planteamientos de estos tratados, los más antiguos en las tradiciones retóricas latina e india en donde se brinda una lista de figuras retóricas, acerca de las figuras de dicción (uerborum exortationes / sabdalamkaras). Se estudian, a partir de la terminología en lengua original, las definiciones de los respectivos tratados y algunos ejemplos extraídos de textos literarios, tres figuras: zeugma, paronomasia y anáfora. Se incorporan, como complemento, tres tropos (tropi / vakroktayas): metáfora, perífrasis e hipérbole. Como conclusión, se postula una clasificación de las figuras retóricas susceptible de ser aplicada a ambas tradiciones: para las figuras de dicción, 1. Figuras de repetición; para los tropos, 1. Figuras de comparación, 2. Figuras de causa, 3. Figuras de exageración.

This paper constitutes the follow-up of “Figures of Speech in the Rhetorica ad Herennium and the Natyasastra: Figures of Thought”. It develops a comparison between the approaches of these treatises, the oldest in the Latin and Indian rhetorical traditions providing lists of figures of speech, regarding the figures of speech (uerborum exortationes / sabdalamkaras). From the terminology in the original language, the definitions found in the respective treatises, and some examples taken from literary texts, three figures are studied: zeugma, paronomasia, and anaphora. As complement, three tropes (tropi / vakroktayas) are incorporated: metaphor, periphrasis, and hyperbole. In conclusion, a classification of the figures of speech that can be applied to both rhetorical traditions is presented: for figures of speech, 1. Figures of repetition; for tropes, 1. Figures of comparison, 2. Figures of cause, and 3. Figures of exaggeration.
