    Las nuevas tendencias museológicas globales, como ecomuseos, museos digitales, museos comunitarios, entre otros, repercuten también en el diseño y ejecución de los museos universitarios y sus manejos de colecciones. Ello es una permanente tensión institucional, sea esta económica, de infraestructura, de gestión, de especialización, de su concepción misma y de su función en tanto corresponde al rol de la universidad en la sociedad.Entonces, el presente texto ensaya ser un yacimiento genealógico del museo universitario en el Perú, desde una revisión de las tensiones y motivaciones fundacionales de algunos casos de museos en relación con la titularidad de sus universidades, y el tránsito hasta las instituciones museables contemporáneas. Por lo tanto, en el proceso institucional dentro de la fundación y desarrollo de la república y con la idea de nación también se van importando o prestando diseños, comportamientos e imágenes institucionales en la concepción de un museo tutelado por una institución de educación superior, esto es, dicho de otro modo, un museo universitario.

    The new global museological trends, such as ecomuseums, digital museums, community museums, among others, also have an impact on the design and execution of university museums and their management of collections, that is, a permanent institutional tension, be it economic, infrastructure, of management, of specialization, of its very conception and of its function as it corresponds to the role of the university in / with society.Thus, this text tries to be a genealogical site of the university museum in Peru, from a review of the tensions and foundational motivations of some cases of museums in relation to the ownership of their universities, and the transition to contemporary museum institutions. Therefore, in the institutional process within the foundation and development of the republic and with the idea of nation, institutional designs, behaviors and images are also imported or provided in the conception of a museum supervised by an institution of higher education, this it is, in other words, a university museum.
