Resumen de Los vicios populares: La Visión Higienista del Partido Socialista en la Argentina entre los años 1917 a 1922

La siguiente investigación está centrada en conocer la visión higienista del Partido Socialista entre los años 1917 - 1922. Se ha realizado un análisis cualitativo de las editoriales de La Vanguardia, órgano oficial del Partido Socialista argentino. La temática propuesta tiene suma relevancia, ya que, es posible abordar cómo los líderes socialistas analizaron su realidad proyectando hacia sus seguidores un conjunto de costumbres, hábitos y prácticas enmarcados en el movimiento higienista. El periodo seleccionado responde a un contexto de gran conflictividad clasista e interclasista influenciado por distintos procesos nacionales e internacionales, como por ejemplo la Revolución Bolchevique, que configuró un escenario particular de gran actividad por parte del movimiento obrero y las elites en todo el mundo. En la siguiente investigación se sostiene que los líderes del Partido Socialista, entre los años 1917 a 1922, proyectaron en el movimiento obrero, a partir de distintos artículos del diario La Vanguardia, prácticas enmarcadas en el higienismo ligadas a tendencias hegemónicas con el objetivo de lograr un progreso en el ámbito social, cultural, y político. Los resultados muestran la existencia de un consenso entre los líderes socialistas y representantes de variadas expresiones políticas en relación con las propuestas higienistas, a partir de éstas se buscó modificar ciertos patrones de conducta en la sociedad que conducían a consecuencias definidas como negativas. Los socialistas propusieron medidas sanitarias que pertenecieron a la tendencia hegemónica del higienismo, pero con una impronta propia que buscó el cambio social y cultural pretendiendo su beneficio político partidario.

The following research is focused on knowing the hygienist vision of the Socialist Party between the years 1917 - 1922. To this end, a qualitative analysis has been carried out of the editorials of the La Vanguardia, the official organ of the Socialist Party of Argentina. The proposed theme has great relevance, since from it, it is possible to address how the socialist leaders analyzed their reality projecting towards its followers a set of customs, habits and practices framed in the hygienist movement. The selected period responds to a context of great class and interclass conflict influenced by different national and international processes, such ass the Bolshevik Revolution, which set up a particular scenario of great activity on the part of the workers' movement and the elites throughout the world. In it is argued that the leaders of the Socialist Party, between 1917 and 1922, projected in the labor movement, based on different articles in La Vanguardia, practices framed in hygienism linked to hegemonic tendencies with the aim of achieving progress in the social, cultural, and political spheres. The results show the existence of a consensus among socialist leaders and representatives of various political expressions, in relation to hygienist proposals, from these it was sought to modify certain patterns of behavior in society that led to consequences defined as negative. The socialists proposed sanitary measures that belonged to the hegemonic tendency of hygienism, but with their own imprint that sought social and cultural change pretending their partisan political benefit.
