La conformación y desarrollo del espacio social argárico: Aportaciones desde su extremo Nororiental

    Las actuaciones arqueológicas llevadas a cabo durante las cuatro últimas décadas nos permiten realizar una evaluación actualizada del surgimiento, consolidación y desarrollo de la sociedad argárica en las tierras del sur de Alicante. Las dataciones radiocarbónicas y el análisis detenido del registro arqueológico de yacimientos como Cabezo Pardo (San Isidro, Alicante), Caramoro I (Elche, Alicante), Laderas del Castillo (Callosa de Segura, Alicante) y Tabayá (Aspe, Alicante), apuntan a una plena integración de este territorio en el proceso de desarrollo de la sociedad argárica en el conjunto del Sudeste peninsular, planteando la conformación de las bases materiales de la sociedad argárica en un territorio más amplio que el hasta ahora considerado como su ›área nuclear‹, en el que quedarían incluidas no sólo la Cuenca de Vera y el valle del Guadalentín, sino también la Vega Baja del Segura y el Bajo Vinalopó.

    Die in den letzten vier Jahrzehnten durchgeführten archäologischen Unternehmungen erlauben eine aktualisierte Bewertung der Entstehung, Konsolidierung und Entwicklung der argarischen Gesellschaft im Süden der Provinz von Alicante. Die Radiokarbondatierung und die detaillierte Analyse der archäologischen Aufzeichnungen von Fundstätten wie Cabezo Pardo (San Isidro, Alicante), Caramoro I (Elche, Alicante), Laderas del Castillo (Callosa de Segura, Alicante) y Tabayá (Aspe, Alicante) weisen auf eine vollständige Integration dieses Gebiets in den Entwicklungsprozess der argarischen Gesellschaft im Südosten der Halbinsel hin. Daraus folgt, dass die materiellen Grundlagen der argarischen Gesellschaft in einem größeren Gebiet zu suchen sind, als dem, welches bisher als ihr ›Kerngebiet‹ betrachtet wurde, in dem nicht nur das Vera-Becken und das Guadalentín-Tal, sondern auch die Vega Baja del Segura und der Bajo Vinalopó eingeschlossen wären.

    Archaeological work carried out over the last four decades allows us to make new assessments of the emergence, consolidation, and development of Argaric society in the southern Alicante Province. Radiocarbon dating and careful analysis of the archaeological record of sites such as Cabezo Pardo, Caramoro I, Laderas del Castillo and Tabayá point to a full integration of this territory into the process of the emergence and development of Argaric society in the whole of the south-eastern Iberian Peninsula. The data support the emergence of the material bases of the Argaric society in a wider territory than that which has until now been considered as its ›core area‹, in which not only the Vera Basin and the Guadalentín Valley would be included, but also the Lower Segura and Lower Vinalopó Valleys.
