  A través de este trabajo se ahondará en el inicio, desarrollo y culmen arquitectónicode estos dos grandes conventos de la ciudad de Úbeda, en donde se mostrará quién o quiénesfueron los mecenas de estos conventos, sus transformaciones arquitectónicas a lo largo de lahistoria, su función dentro de la ciudad de Úbeda, quiénes fueron los arquitectos, escultoreso pintores que participaron en su construcción, además de hacer especial mención a aquellasabadesas que fueron clave en la paulatina construcción arquitectónica.

  This study will enable us to examine the architectural beginnings, developmentand culmination of these two great convents in the city of Úbeda, and it will consider whatperson or persons were the patrons of these convents, the buildings’ architectural transfor-mation throughout their history, their role within the city of Úbeda, and the identity of thearchitects, sculptors or painters who were involved in their construction, as well as makingspecial mention of those abbesses who played a key part in the gradual architectural processof construction.
