Resumen de A história da educação de surdos: uma relação com os aspectos da semiótica de Peirce

  There are few works that relate the history of the process of building scientific knowledge of the deaf with to the Peirce's semiotics contributions. According to historical records, from the 16th century the first deaf educators emerged. The current bilingual education, greatly advocated by the Deaf Community, emerged on the basis of many researchers who claimed that the sign language was a language with all linguistic grammatical levels. Thus, using the discursive textual analysis of articles, dissertations, theses and websites, our objective in this paper is to analyze historically how the first educational methods of literacy of deaf people emerged, the main theoretical approaches that guided the pedagogical actions along the last centuries and what are some possible relationships that can be established between studies of semiotics and sign language.

  São poucos os estudos que relacionam a história do processo de construção do conhecimento científico dos surdos com as contribuições da semiótica de Peirce. Pelo que se tem registrado historicamente, é sobretudo a partir do século XVI que surgem os primeiros educadores de surdos. A atual educação bilíngue, muito defendida pela Comunidade Surda, emerge embasada por muitos pesquisadores que demonstram ser a língua de sinais uma língua com todos os níveis gramaticais linguísticos. Assim, utilizando da análise textual discursiva de artigos, dissertações, teses e sites, nosso objetivo neste artigo consiste em analisar historicamente como surgiram os primeiros métodos educacionais de alfabetização das pessoas surdas, as principais abordagens teóricas que nortearam as ações pedagógicas ao longo dos últimos séculos e quais são algumas das possíveis relações que podem ser estabelecidas entre os estudos da semiótica e da Língua de Sinais.
