Entre la población local del actual pueblo de Rodalquilar (Almería), nacido en 1929 gracias a la llegada de la empresa Minas deRodalquilar S.A. y a las actividades que desarrolló sobre el terreno, siempre se ha hablado, se habla y se hablará de aquellos momentos previos a la guerra civil como la etapa de los ingleses. Pero además de aquellos ingleses de la década de 1930, ahora sabemos que otros también estuvieron presentes en el coto minero de Rodalquilar con anterioridad. Igualmente, el mundo anglosajón estuvo presente, de muy diferentes formas, en Rodalquilar tras la guerra civil española.

The town of Rodalquilar was founded in 1929 thanks to the arrival of the company Minas de Rodalquilar S.A. and the activities that it developed on the site. For this reason, it should not be surprising that the local population, before and now, calls that period of its history prior to the Civil War, as the English stage.
