We present a computational procedure that maximizes the productive utility of agricultural inputs limited to water and nitrogen at fixed costs, using a Cobb-Douglas function, and based on a hybrid methodology between logarithmic barrier and Lagrange. The procedurewas tested using information known in the literature on lettuce and the melon fruit tree. The results obtained respond to the expected of a Cobb-Douglas function with constant returns to scale, showing numerical consistency.
