    Poldi Pezzoli Museum opened in Milan in 1881, displaying the collection of nobleman Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli in his apartment. The identity of the museum, whose collections enlarged throughout the decades, finds its core in the dialogue between painting, sculpture, decorative arts, armory, and scientific instruments, according to the eclectic spirit of a nineteen-century collector.
