El año 1710 el rey Felipe V concedió un Privilegio de Feria Franca a Albacete durante ocho días en la festividad de Nuestra Señora de los Llanos. La celebración de este aniversario histórico, íntimamente ligado al desarrollo de la ciudad, tiene un sentido religioso y litúrgico. Sin embargo, cuando definitivamente la feria se traslada, en 1783, a la villa, la misma se venía celebrando en los Llanos junto al convento de franciscanos descalzos fundado en 1672. En este lugar se había iniciado el culto popular a la Virgen congregando en la festividad del 8 de septiembre a numerosos devotos en su celebración religiosa. Además de mostrar algunos aspectos relacionados con la historia de esta fundación, finalizamos nuestro estudio señalando algunos aspectos de la feria en los LLanos y el enfrentamiento de los regidores de la villa y los franciscanos por su celebración.
The year 1710 the king Philip V granted a Privilege of Fair Franc to Albacete for eight days inthe festivity of Our Lady of the Plains. The celebration of this historical anniversary, intimately tied to the development of the city, makes a religious and liturgical sense. Nevertheless, when definitively the fair moves, in 1783, to the villa, the same one one was coming celebrating in The Plains close to the convent of barefooted Franciscans founded in 1672. In this place the popular worship had begun to the Virgin con-gregating in the festivity of September 8 to numerous devout in his religious celebration. Beside showing some aspects related to the history of this foundation, we finish our study indicating some aspects of the fair in Los Llanos and the clash of the aldermen of the villa and the Franciscans for his celebration.
