El artículo, que reproduce una conferencia dictada en abril de 2019 en un simposio de la Facultad Teológica de Palermo sobre el tema de los Libros de los Reyes, intenta resolver un problema de hsitoriografía bíblica, dando una posible explicación de la presencia en el Segundo Libro de los Reyes, de dos reyes, del norte (Israel) y del suer (Judá) del mismo nombre, Ioash. Se repite lo que el autor encontró e intentó explicar en un artículo anterior en relación a dos reyes más del mismo nombre, Ioram. Por lo tanto, el presente estudio destaca las formas ideológicas de escribir la historia por parte del editor bíblico.

The article started as a paper on the Books of Kings, delivered in April 2019 at a conference of the Faculty of Theology in Palermo. It tries to solve a problem of Biblical historiography, offering a possible explanation for the presence, in the Second Book of Kings, of two kings, of the North (Israel) and of the South (Judaea), respectively, bearing the same name, Ioash. This would be another instance of that which the Author earlier found, and tried to explain, in reference to other two kings of the same name, Ioram. This study then highlights the ideological dimension in the Biblical editor's historical account.
