We will carry out an interpretation reading, from the perspective of political philosophy and the philosophy of history, around Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet. He wrote between Machiavelli and Hobbes, therefore we intend to find in this piece many of the ideas that they embodied in their works. But, with the purpose of finding in Shakespeare certain considerations regarding what a about history would be, we will carry out a reading of his piece under the logic of hegelian philosophy, to show that the playwright anticipated some of the key points that later Hegel would explode. In short, we intend to recognize, in Romeo and Juliet, a certain idea of a philosophy of history that allows us to link it with modern political philosophy, represented by Machiavelli and Hobbes, and with the political philosophy of Hegel and his dialectic of history.
