    El que estos instrumentos no sean los tradicionales no debería ser motivo de preocupación fundamental; y, esto porque desde una perspectiva histórica se debe recordar que los bancos centrales aparecieron bastante antes que Keynes escriba su libro “Teoría General del Empleo el Interés y el Dinero”. Mientras la Política Monetarta es un invento de mediados del siglo XX; los bancos centrales aparecieron a finales del XIX para cumplir con varias de las funciones que se mencionaron al miclo de esta conferencia. Primero como agentes financieros del gobterno, este fue su origen en Europa, luego como asegurador y adininistrador del sistema de pagos, y así sucesivamente.
