Fray Luis de Bolaños (Marchena, 1539, Buenos Aires,1629). Ya franciscanose unió a fray Alonso de San Buenaventura para misionar cuando éste pasó por suconvento. Durante diez años trabajaron juntos y en 1585 fue ordenado sacerdote por elobispo dominico Alonso Guerra. Su actividad apostólica duró más de cincuenta años. Elhecho más notable de su actuación misionera fue la creación de las “reducciones”, quetan famosos habrían de hacer después a los jesuitas. Escribió la primera gramática y elcatecismo de la doctrina cristiana en guaraní. En proceso de beatificación.

For ten years they worked together and in 1585 priest wasarranged by the bishop Dominican Alonso Guerra. His apostolic activity lasted morethan fifty years. The most notable fact of his missionary action was the creation of the“reductions”, which so famous should do later the Jesuits.
