Este articulo analiza y hace un recorrido por el proceso de diseño y fabricación de Mojado, una pieza de artesanía contemporánea que revisa el icónico botijo español y su proceso de fabricación, partiendo de la de la exploración de la arcilla como material, utilizando nuevas técnicas y cruzando las líneas entre lo artesanal y lo industrial, lo único y lo seriado. El proyecto pretende poner en valor la artesanía y los materiales tradicionales y sostenibles en un contexto actual desarrollando, a través del diseño, una pieza de artesanía contemporánea utilizando un método de fabricación alternativo.
This article analyzes and reviews the design and manufacturing process of Mojado, a contemporary craft piece that revisits the iconic Spanish botijo and its manufacturing process, starting from the exploration of clay as material, using new techniques and crossing the lines between the handmade and the industrial, the unique and the serial. The project aims to highlight the value of craftsmanship and traditional and sustainable materials in a current context by developing, through design, contemporary craftsmanship piece using an alternative manufacturing method.
