Resumen de Pedagogía y educación: un saber teórico y un ejercicio práctico que forman al humano

El presente artículo de reflexión realizará una delimitación conceptual alrededor de la educación y la pedagogía, dos vocablos que generalmente se utilizan como términos equivalentes en los contextos profesorales, lo que comporta, sin duda alguna, un error epistemológico que sebe prevenir urgentemente. Dicha distinción atravesará varios momentos. En primera instancia, se precisará la educación como un hecho social de naturaleza práctica con fines de homogenización, perfeccionamiento y formación dl ser humano, siguiendo, respectivamente, los planteamientos de Emile Durkheim, Immanuel Kant y Lorenzo Luzuriaga. En segundo lugar, se abordará la pedagogía como un saber que ha estado a lo largo de la historia con el propósito de teorizar el acto educativo, bajo la contemplación de sus actores, relaciones, recursos, métodos, estrategias y modelos. En un tercer momento, se explicará la relación que ambas categorías establecen en la vida docente, por cuanto concurren en las maneras de pensar y hacer al sujeto que se forma dentro de un escenario escolar. Finalmente, a modo de conclusión, se subrayará la importancia de asumir la educación y la pedagogía como dominios distintos, pero compatibles en la intención de generar mejores realidades al interior de las escuelas latinoamericanas.

This article for reflection will carry out a conceptual delimitation around education and pedagogy, two words that are generally used as equivalent terms in teaching contexts, which undoubtedly entails an epistemological error that must be urgently prevented. This distinction will go through several moments. In the first instance, education will be specified as a social fact of a practical nature for the purposes of homogenization, improvement and training on the human being, following, respectively, the approaches of Emile Durkheim, Immanuel Kant and Lorenzo Luzuriaga. Second, pedagogy will be approached as a knowledge that has been throughout history with the purpose of theorizing the educational act, under the contemplation of its actors, relationships, resources, methods, strategies and models. In a third moment, the relationship that both categories establish in the teaching life will be explained, since they concur in the ways of thinking and doing the subject that is formed within a school setting. Finally, by way of conclusion, the importance of assuming education and pedagogy as different domains, but compatible in the intention of generating better realities within Latin American schools, will be underlined.
