Resumen de Objetivos y motivaciones: factores determinantes para el éxito del aprendizaje de idiomas extranjeros

En este artículo analizamos dos factores muy importantes e interdependientes en el aprendizaje de un idioma extranjero: el objetivo y la motivación del estudiante. Estos factores resultan muy eficientes ya que en realidad representan el zócalo, la base del rendimiento académico del alumno en su aprendizaje. Al respecto los resultados de nuestra investigación revelan que 67,1 % de los estudiantes dicen estudiar el idioma español para el trabajo; 18,8 % mencionaron que es para el viaje, la inmigración a España o algún país latinoamericano y 14 % del total, señalaron que estudian español por diversión. De allí entendemos que los resultados y rendimientos de los discentes dependen de los distintos objetivos que quieren alcanzar.

In this article we analyze two very important and interdependent factors in the learning of a foreign language: the objective and the motivation of the student. These factors are very efficient as they represent the base, the basis of the student’s academic performance in his learning. On this subject, the result of our research reveals that 67,1% of the students say that they study Spanish for work, 18,8% mention that it is for travel, immigration to Spanish or some Latina American country and 14% of the total, say that they study Spanish for fun. From there, we understand that the results and performance of learners depend on the objectives they want to achieve.
