This brazier-censer was used in the Andalusian city of Lorca in the first half of the 13th century. The restoration of this unique piece has made it possible to contemplate its shape and its openwork decoration which imitates that of metal pieces. The exterior shape glazed in green allowed to hide the bowl where the embers were deposited, which in the dim light of the alcove increased the play of light and shadow of the simple decoration of the brazier.
