    Quien, a partir de Kant, aborda la relación entre el Estado y la religión, debe aclarar ambos conceptos antes de tematizar dicha relación. Esto significa, por de pronto, establecer el tipo de fundamentación y legitimación del Estado que ofrece Kant. Si, además, se pregunta con qué potestad y para qué existe el Estado, hay que realizar un paso atrás y aclarar un concepto previo, a saber, el concepto de derecho.

    Whoever, based on Kant, addresses the relation between the State and religion must clarify both concepts before thematising such relation. This entails, to begin with, establishing the type of foundation and legitimation of the State that Kant offers. If, in addition, one asks what authority and purpose the State exists with, it is necessary to step back and clarify one previous concept: the concept of law.
