    The article analyses the origins and evolution of anti-Asian racism through a multi-scale approach that articulates geopolitical influence, economic structures, and the racialisation process. Starting with a description of the representations of Asians forged during the colonial era, it then deciphers the evolution of these stereotypes from the 1970s to the present. It concludes with a discussion of the emergence of mobilisations of young Franco-Asians that call for an opening-up of the national cultural repertoire.

    Les origines et les mutations du racisme dit anti-asiatique sont ici analysées à travers une approche multi-échelle qui articule l’influence géopolitique, les structures économiques et le processus de racialisation. À partir d’une description des représentations des Asiatiques forgées pendant l’époque coloniale, cet article décrypte l’évolution de tels stéréotypes des années 1970 à nos jours, puis l’émergence des mobilisations de jeunes Franco-Asiatiques, qui invitent à un désenclavement du répertoire culturel national.
