FIGURAS REVISTA ACADÉMICA DE INVESTIGACIÓN designa –mediante un acto de escritura– la acción de transformar, delinear o representar en sus publicaciones, los hallazgos que los participantes plasman en cada una de las tres secciones contempladas en esta publicación.
PERSPECTIVAS, sección en la que se reúnen artículos de investigación originales e inéditos, evoca la acción de “ver a través de” como lo confirma perspicere, su etimología latina. Los autores participantes muestran avances o resultados de su investigación, insertándolos en la consideración y discusión de sus respectivas comunidades científicas con el propósito de enriquecer el diálogo entre pares.
ESCENAS es un sitio llamado a la figuralización. En esta sección se representa una escena lingüística en la que autor y lector participan en un intercambio de ideas y en el que figuran el diálogo regulado que sostiene la práctica del lenguaje sobre un tema de actualidad.
En este número inaugural, ESCENAS alberga ensayos escritos y visuales dirigidos al campo de conocimiento de Arquitectura y Comunicación visual. En ellos se ofrecen nuevas posibilidades de estudio sobre temas de actualidad que competen a dicho campo y que requieren de un específico acercamiento crítico.
RESONANCIAS es un espacio para dar cabida a reseñas críticas de textos, exposiciones, actividades científicas o eventos culturales que pulsan el tiempo actual y orientan a los lectores sobre aquello que reclama ser destacado por lo que resuena.
FIGURAS REVISTA ACADÉMICA DE INVESTIGACIÓN proporciona acceso libre e inmediato a su contenido para que se disponga gratuitamente de los artículos de investigación, ensayos y reseñas con la finalidad de sumarse al impulso que la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México está dando al intercambio del contenido de las investigaciones que se llevan a cabo en el país, mediante el modelo del Acceso Abierto (OA: Open Access por sus siglas en inglés), entendido como una forma de compartir información científica sin costo o restricción para el usuario y en el que cada artículo, ensayo o reseña figura de manera singular.

FIGURAS REVISTA ACADÉMICA DE INVESTIGACIÓN denotes (by dint of the act of writing) the act of transforming, tracing and representing in each publication the findings that authors lay on every section included in the journal.
PERSPECTIVES is a section that comprises original and unpublished research articles. It evokes the act of seeing through, as the Latin etymology perspicere states it. All participating authors present their progress made or their findings, and put them to their respective scientific community’s consideration and discussion in order to enrich peer dialogue.
SCENARIOS is a site intended for figuralization. This section represents a linguistic setting in which the author and the reader re-create an exchange of thoughts, where the regulated dialogue that maintains the language used to talk about a current issue is figured.
Within the first issue, SCENARIOS hosts written and imaged essays aimed at the academic field of Architecture and Visual Communication. These provide new possibilities of studying current topics, concerning such field, that require a specific critical focus.
RESONANCES is a space dedicated to critical reviews regarding texts, expositions, scientific activities or cultural events that pulse current time and assist readers on what has gained notoriety.
FIGURAS REVISTA ACADÉMICA DE INVESTIGACIÓN provides open and immediate access to its content, so as to freely retrieve research articles, essays and critiques and, thus, join the stimulus that the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México is granting to the exchange of research taking place in the country. This is made possible by means of the Open Access initiative, understood as the way of sharing scientific information for free and without restriction, where each article, essay and critique fits in a very singular way.
