Apaté en la estética del mundo virtual

    The following article deals with a hermeneutical investigation of the classical aesthetic category of the Apaté.  With this aim in mind, we investigate the origin of the term in Greek mythology and its relationship with other classical notions such as Dolos and Illusio. Based on this characterisation, the aim is to bring into play the profound meaning of apaté, understood as illusion, in order to understand the aesthetic phenomenon of digital virtuality. To this end, the function of illusion is contrasted with a set of other classical aesthetic categories such as mimesis and poiesis, and their correlatives in the digital context, simulation and generation.

    From this hermeneutic framework, a network of interrelated meanings is woven to characterise and explain the functioning of the aesthetic experience of the digital world.

    This research is related to previous works by the author on the aesthetics of digital art and the ontology of the virtual world, as well as to the Modal Aesthetics proposed by Jordi Claramonte.

    En el siguiente artículo se aborda una investigación de orden hermenéutico en torno a la categoría estética clásica de la Apaté, para ello se remonta al origen del término en la mitología griega y su relación con otras nociones clásicas como Dolos e Illusio. Luego, a partir de esta caracterización, se busca poner en juego el sentido profundo de la apaté entendida como ilusión, para comprender el fenómeno estético de la virtualidad digital. Para ello se engrana la función de la ilusión en conjunto con otras categorías estéticas clásicas como mímesis y poiesis, y sus correlativos en el contexto digital, simulación y generación.

    A partir de este entramado hermenéutico, se tejen un conjunto de significados interrelacionados que sirven para caracterizar y explicar el funcionamiento de la experiencia estética propia del mundo digital. Esta investigación se encuentra en diálogo y directamente relacionada con trabajos previos del autor acerca de la estética del arte digital y la ontología del mundo virtual, y con la Estética Modal de Jordi Claramonte.
