Performance y archivo han definido dos grandes campos de investigación en artes a lo largo del siglo XX. Este artículo explora las distancias y confluencias entre estos dos territorios aparentemente opuestos tomando como punto de partida el Proyecto Atlas (de) las obras perdidas (setiembre 2019 - ), de la dramaturga y directora argentina Beatriz Catani. Con este fin se ponen en diálogo diversos episodios fundacionales del archivo y la performance, como el Atlas Mnemosyne de Aby Warburg y la lectura que hace de este Didi-Huberman, las fotografías de Jackson Pollock inaugurando la action painting o las ideas de Allan Kaprow anticipando un nuevo territorio para las prácticas artísticas.

Performance and archive have defined two great fields of research in the arts throughout the 20th century. This article explores the distances and confluences between these two apparently opposite territories, taking as a starting point the Project Atlas (of) Lost Works, by argentine playwright and theater director Beatriz Catani (2021-). To this end, various foundational episodes in the history of archives and performance are put into dialogue, such as Aby Warburg's Atlas Mnemosyne and the analysis by Didi-Huberman, the photographs of Jackson Pollock inventing action painting or the Allan Kaprow's ideas anticipating the future of artistic practices.
