The article deals with the newsreels ‑mainly French ones- during the period 1930-1936. Some of the newsreels are set in a political context with the arrival of Hitler in power in 1933. Three years later, at the time of the Popular Front, it is a France on strike that is shown, a strike that will even have an impact on the film industry. More precisely, we evoke the way in which the newsreels record the assassination of the King of Yugoslavia on 9 October 1934 and the beginning of the Spanish war in 1936. Through these press reports and particularly the testimonies of the operators of the time, we return specifically to the beginning of their media coverage as well as to the ambiguity of their position regarding certain political events. Although they are aimed at achieving a certain neutrality, their involvement gave them paradoxically a journalistic claim.

El artículo tiene por objeto las noticias filmadas - principalmente francesas - del período 1930-1936. Algunas noticias se inscriben en un marco político con la llegada de Hitler al poder en 1933. Tres años después, en el momento del Frente Popular, se muestra una Francia en huelga, una huelga que incluso tendrá un impacto en la actividad cinematográfica.
Se menciona más concretamente la forma en que las noticias dan cuenta del asesinato del rey de Yugoslavia el 9 de octubre de 1934 y del comienzo de la guerra de España en 1936. A través de informes en la prensa y privilegiando los testimonios de los operadores de la época, se vuelve en particular sobre el comienzo de su mediatización así como sobre la ambigüedad de su posicionamiento ante ciertos hechos políticos. Si reivindican cierta neutralidad, su implicación les da paradójicamente una pretensión periodística.
