Este artículo es una aproximación a la actividad diplomática que monseñor Ildebrando Antoniutti desarrolló en España en dos momentos históricos distintos. El primero, entre julio de 1937 y junio de 1938, cuando fue enviado por Pío XI en misión de caridad en la España llamada entonces nacional y después como encargado de negocios de la Santa Sede ante el Gobierno Nacional del general Franco. El segundo, desde diciembre de 1953 hasta mayo de 1962, en calidad de nuncio apostólico en España, nombrado por Pío XII con la tarea fundamental de aplicar el Concordato firmado el 27 de agosto de 1953. This article is an approach to the diplomatic activity that Monsignor Ildebrando Antoniutti developed in Spain in two different historical moments. The first, between July 1937 and June 1938, when he was sent by Pius XI on a mission of charity in what was then called natio-nal Spain and later as chargé d’affaires of the Holy See to the National Government of General Franco. The second, from December 1953 to May 1962, as apostolic nuncio in Spain, appointed by Pius XII with the fundamental task of applying the Concordat signed on August 7, 1953. The article reproduces the instructions given to him by the Secretary of State and the Sacred Congregation of Seminaries.
