    El presente artículo es un resultado de una investigación de tesis doctoral sobre el movimiento estudiantil de Chihuahua en 1972. El objetivo es realizar una reconstrucción histórica de la lucha estudiantil en la universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACh) para conseguir su democratización. Parte del objetivo es destacar la acción estudiantil frente a las medidas represivas que empleó el Estado en contra de un grupo subversivo en ese año. Se realiza un análisis documental de notas periodísticas que publicaron información de acontecimientos relacionados con este movimiento estudiantil. El 15 de enero de 1972 ocurrió un triple asalto simultáneo a tres sucursales bancarias en Chihuahua, fueron acciones guerrilleras urbanas que desencadenaron una violenta represión estatal. Los estudiantes de la universidad se constituyeron en un amplio frente popular para contener la guerra sucia y las acciones directas del Estado. El movimiento universitario se colocó en el centro de una gran organización popular y sindical, resistiendo en ese año amenazas, aprehensiones y violencia en las calles. Recibido: 30/3/2020Aceptado: 14/12/2020

    The present article is the result of a doctoral thesis research into the student movement in Chihuahua in 1972. The aim is to conduct an historical reconstruction of the student fight in the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACh) to achieve its democratization. A part of the aim is to highlight the student action in that year against the background of repressive State measures employed against the subversive group in that year. A documentary analysis of journalistic notes which published information about the student movement is realized. On the 15th of January 1972 a triple-assault occurred on three bank branches in the State of Chihuahua which were urban guerrilla actions that put in motion a chain of violent State repression. University students formed a wide popular front to contain the dirty war and direct State action. The university student movement was centered in the middle of a large popular union organization resisting threats, apprehension and street violence in that year.
