    Una de las múltiples habilidades que debe dominar la enfermera de quirófano es la colocación de los pacientes en la mesa quirúrgica. Las posiciones quirúrgicas vienen determinadas por el procedimiento quirúrgico que se va a realizar, la vía de acceso elegida por el cirujano y la técnica de administración de la anestesia. Influyen también distintos factores: edad, estatura, peso, estado cardiopulmonar y patologías anteriores del paciente. Todo el equipo quirúrgico (anestesia, cirugía, enfermería) colabora y está obligado a vigilar la adecuada posición del paciente durante todo el proceso intraoperatorio.

    One of the many skills that the operating room nurse must master is the positioning of patients on the operating table. Surgical positions are determined by the surgical procedure to be performed, the approach chosen by the surgeon, and the technique of administering anesthesia. Different factors also influence: age, height, weight, cardiopulmonary status and previous pathologies of the patient. The entire surgical team (anesthesia, surgery, nursing) collaborates and is obliged to monitor the proper position of the patient throughout the intraoperative process.
