Laterality and reader process: correlational study

    • Introduction Reading is fundamental in the teaching - learning process in the school context. The general Objective was to study the relationship between laterality and the reading process. These problems are shown in all curriculum subjects preventing development. Materials and methods to carry out this research, a group of 30 elementary school students from the Miguel de Cervantes school was evaluated through the laterality test and the reading process test. Results The statistical correlation analysis shows that there is no significant relationship between laterality with the reading process. Discussion a program of neuropsychological intervention and develop the processes involved in the variables evaluated. Conclusions Today, with the significant advance of neuropsychology, we have been able to study and investigate the possible causes of reading problems such as laterality.
